This week your photography challenge is to utilise the most frequent photographic composition rule – the Rule of Thirds.

Although I’m not big on ‘rules’ – there’s undoubtedly some great good reasons to know this 1 and to be capable to pull it off (and of program there are times to break it too). So lets practice implementing it this week!
You can use it in any form of photography you like – portraits, landscapes, sporting, macro, animals, food…. no matter what you like. Just make positive you adhere to the principles of the Rule of Thirds when composing your shot.

As soon as you have chosen your ‘Rule of Thirds’ picture/s upload them to your favourite photograph sharing web site and either share a hyperlink to it or – embed them in the comments using the our new instrument to do so.

If you tag your images on Flickr, Instagram, Twitter or other websites with Tagging tag them as #DPSRULEOFTHIRDS to assist others find them. Linking back to this page may well also help other folks know what you are doing so that they can share in the exciting.
Also – don’t overlook to verify out some of the great shots posted in the final challenge – Patterns challenge wherever there have been some beautiful shots submitted.
